Job Description

Position identifies, solicits, develops and manages the small group and catering for accounts meeting global coverage criteria with limited complexity. Additional focus on developing and penetrating group revenue potential from existing accounts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
40% - Account management of a portfolio of corporate customers with limited complexity, including but not limited to: account plan development/execution, actively interface with customers by phone and hotel sales teams to reach revenue goals and increase marketshare.

25% - Proactively grow revenues from the small group segment for all Starwood brands with emphasis on converting opportunities to bookings.

20% - Be able to clearly articulate each brand value and points of differentiation, to capture Business Travel revenue and share growth for all hotels. Increase awareness of Starwood hotels and support revenue growth through calls, sharing Starwood updates by phone and email, and by preparing our hotels to meet customers at industry events.

15% - Utilize all Starwood technology tools and reporting. Sell segment programs (SPG, SPP, OSSE, etc) and have a high degree of familiarity with initiatives and promotions in the Business Travel and Group segments. Maintain proper and detailed records and activities for all accounts in ISAC, as part of effectively managing the account base; and use ISAC and/or 3rd party tools to track Group RFPs and results.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education
High school or equivalent education required. College degree preferred.

Experience
2-3 years previous sales experience required. Previous sales or hotel administration a plus.
