Position is located at the Headquarters of Firestone Specialty Products (FSSP) in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position is with Firestone Specialty Products is a leading manufacturer of quality waterproofing membranes for residential, commercial, industrial and critical containment applications, as well as a leading supplier to the modular roofing and masonry sectors. The responsibilities for the Sales Support Manger:
Sales Support for Geomembrane Business – supports field sales team in submitting information and answering technical questions asked by geotechnical engineers, regulator and owners within targeted markets. Direct interaction with these key stakeholders through technical presentations, phone calls and correspondence as needed.
Technical Database Management – update FSSP technical database as necessary. Identifies technical hooks' that can be added to product specifications to aid in product positioning in the marketplace.
Product Line Management – Coordinates product testing and competitive product analysis with Product Management and R&D department. Performs competitive gap analysis and gives guidance on direction for new product development. Works with Product Management to ensure on time delivery of new products to the market.

Minimum of 10 years experience in technical sales support and/or product development/formulation experience.
Prefer experience with thermoplastic and/or thermoset elastomers. Specification sales experience with geomembranes in mining, landfill, water containment/conveyance or floating cover applications.
Prefer candidates with a good understanding of ASTM testing for single-ply roofing products or geomembranes.
