The immediate position is a 9 to 15-month series of rotational assignments in Kingsport, TN. At the end of the rotational assignments you would be placed in a permanent Sales position in one of Eastman's businesses somewhere in the United States. Travel requirements in the sales position would be about 30-40% of the time. Extensive interaction with other areas of the company, such as Technical Service, Supply Chain, Business Management, and Marketing will be necessary to sell Eastman products to customers.

Job Responsibilities (in the sales position):
Develop strong, collaborative working relationships with Eastman customers, distributors, and specifiers.

Develop a deep understanding of customer business and needs, and how Eastman capabilities can satisfy those needs.

Implement selling strategies and tactics that are aligned with Business Unit strategies

Manage pricing/terms to achieve optimum business performance in target segments

Work together with Business Unit and other organizations to develop appropriate responses to complex stomer issues

Steward contract development and approval for each Business Unit subject to defined contract strategies

Evaluate and implement price increases

Coordinate sales agreements for Business Units

Provide ABP pricing forecasts and monthly updates for Business Unit products

Communicate market trends, price increases/justifications and other relevant information to appropriate stakeholders

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university is required (Technical, Science, or business related degree is preferred)

Preferred Experience & Skills:
Knowledge of chemicals and/or polymer product line

Commercial experience desirable

Able to work independently. Self-motivating

Able to develop and maintain effective relationships

Good analytical and quantitative skills for problem solving and decision analysis

Able to make decisions in timely fashion with less than complete data set to meet business needs

Strong listening, communication, and collaboration skills

Ability to balance multiple requests simultaneously

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player

Willingness to try new ideas and approaches to improve processes and metrics
