Planning, communicating, managing and extending relationships with LANG MEKRA’s most important customers or market segments, while focusing on the development of long term (strategic) profitable business to increase sales and/or margins. Promoting the leading position and the global orientation of all market activities of the MEKRA group to increase market shares and generate better margins.   • Develop customer / Market specific plans, initiate new business projects, negotiate contracts at customer location and at LANG MEKRA (including strategic costing; with needed support) and monitor upkeep of contract terms by customer
  • Collect, prepare, and document all customer specific information by visiting customers and representing LANG MEKRA during trade fairs for early recognition of future customer needs and develop possible demand for - and use of LANG MEKRA products for this customer
  • Establish and maintain relations with management of existing and potential Key Accounts on a high level and with all relevant LANG MEKRA departments and contacts (Project Managers, Materials/Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Production, Aftermarket & Service, etc.)
  • Arbitration of account differences with best overall LANG MEKRA goal
  • Coordinate with global , Lead Engineer/Project Manager and various production locations of LANG MEKRA to submit technical proposals (and other support functions as needed)
  • Provide continuous up-to-date information to Management on the viability of accounts
  • Establish and implement a clear communicate that includes the pulse of the market and customer satisfaction trends to key personnel on a local and global relationship that align with strategic market plans and operative actions
  • Establish and implement profitable key business targets and strategic goals within the market described including but not limited to business and market plans, industry trends, competition benchmarks, new technology introductions, promotional campaigns, customer cost down programs, product pricing strategies, market-specific budgets as well as the development of the turnover and profit contribution for LANG MEKRA
  • Define the general conditions for price policy and fix the budgets for the acquisition of new customers
  • Be an active part of the development and implementation of Strategic Planing process
  • Communication of market planning and guarantee frequent communication with Sales Coordinator
  • Observe the global OEM market and define the target customers for LANG MEKRA by organizing a general data base for customers, competitors and the global OEM business market as well as distributing the market information to all LANG MEKRA group members accounts as well as interpret customer requirements to guide product development
  • Represent LANG MEKRA at customer’s Senior and Top Level management in assigned market, including direct contact and visits to customer’s plants, and in the Board of strategic alliances
  • Participate in coordinating the organization of selected trade fairs, overall events, the provision of Lang Mekra’s presentation documents and Internet appearance
  • Train, develop, provide guidance to and supervise assigned Market/Key Account and/or Account managers by implementing global, market and customer oriented thinking in consideration of regional market-specific differences in the whole enterprise
  • Provide continuous feedback and up-to-date information to KAM, AM and PM, and hold them accountable for their actions and set objectives/goals
  • Oversee and control the preparation of major quotations, service and maintenance programs, project implementation and implementation of strategic alliances with potential partners
  • Participate on continuous improvement programs aimed at customer measurements and collaborative
Qualifications:
  • 4-year minimum BS or equivalent in Engineering or Business
  • Minimum 10+ years in Account or Program management in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with automotive or truck manufacturing rate in the project management team
