EMC’s Backup & Recovery Systems (BRS) organization started January 1st, 2010 through a merger of the former Data Domain organization and EMC BURA organization and is one of the fastest growing divisions within EMC. BRS’s product lines are designed to deliver solutions that enable enterprises of all sizes to manage, retain and protect their data.

EMC is looking to recruit a Sales Business Analyst who will be part of the EMC Backup & Recovery Systems (BRS) organization, located in Santa Clara, CA. This position will report into Senior Manager of Business Operations. As a Sales Business Analyst, the primary role will be leading the scoping, ongoing administration and training on BRS Divisions’ instance of Salesforce.com. The database is heavily used by the BRS Organization team to track campaigns, leads, contacts, customers, opportunities, assets, etc.

Responsibilities:
Manage the BRS Organizations database of record, implemented on the Salesforce.com platform, for all organization users; perform basic administration; regularly perform database cleanup procedures; manage ongoing support requests and administrative needs of users; develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity. Build and maintain workflow and validation rules, profile settings and customization of record types and page layouts.
Develop training plans, materials, and documentation for database users, keep materials up-to-date, coordinate new user and ongoing training sessions worldwide; develop and communicate a schedule for future database releases/enhancements; monitor user adoption rates and respond as needed (additional training sessions, communication, modifications, or other resources) to improve; assist users with report design and best practice adoption.
Work with various functions and end users to identify, document, and communicate standard business processes as they related to the database; design and implement new business processes relating to the sales organization.

Required Skills/Experience:
1-4 years administering the Salesforce.com application platform.
Experience with data quality, customer service, telemarketing, order management, collections and/or data entry experience.
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, problem-solve, and produce results.
Strong customer service focus, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to take initiative, work flexibly, and adhere to priorities with minimal direct supervision.
Solid computer skills required (e.g. SFDC, Excel, MS Access, SQL queries, Business Objects or other BI applications, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
