The Sanitation Staff employee erforms multiple tasks in an effort to ensure the factory is consistently in a clean and sanitary condition. The working hours for this position are 11pm through 7:30am, Sunday through Thursday, with some required overtime depending on production needs.

  • Meet with Supervisor and representatives of the previous shift on a daily basis to review plant status and determine action plan
  • Assist other staff members with specific shift duties on a daily basis
  • Cleaning compounds and sanitizing agents shall be identified, held and stored in a manner that protects against contamination of food, food contact surfaces, or food packaging material.
  • Cleaning various items(including equipment, utensils and buckets)
  • Cleaning various areas(including floors, bathrooms, doors, walls, and glass)
  • Operating corrugated bailing machine and trash compactor.
  • Secure all department tools in specified location at the end of each shift.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and report as needed (i.e. Daily checklist and Chemical titrations).
  • Must be aware of OSHA hazard communication standards and apply this knowledge to daily job functions.
  • Must be aware of pest control applications,
  • Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work area.
  • Must know how to properly set cleaning and sanitize dilution ratios
  • Operate chemical clean/sanitize foam unit properly
  • Operate steam heated pan wash machine
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE (goggles, face shield, gloves, cover-alls, boots)
  • In the Sanitation Tech’s absence, the most senior staff employee will assume all necessary roles and responsibilities of the Sanitation Tech.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Education:
    High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent experience

    Other Requirements: Ability to learn sanitation process and procedures. Ability to learn OSHA standards and laws and their applicability to job functions . Possess normal to excellent manual dexterity and motor skills . Must be able to work independently . Communication of any concerns regarding safety, quality, or equipment in poor condition to your supervisor immediately
