Per Se | Energy has an immediate need for a Scaffolding Construction Superintendent (Nuclear) for a client in the Midwest, United States. This is a contract position through the end of the year, likely beginning in Mid-June.

Position Description
The Construction Superintendent will be working on a Steam Generator Replacement project at a nuclear power plant.
Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Direct hire supervision
Coordinate subcontractor labor supervision and craft distribution
Ensure performance and productivity of direct hire construction work performed on the project
Plan and schedule all work activities
Coordinate subcontractor work activities on the project
Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs
Optimize the use of construction equipment and tools on the project
Supervise layout, construction, and maintenance of temporary facilities on the project
Provide constructability suggestions and input
Provide leadership for the safety, accident prevention, and fire protection programs on the project, including:
Safety orientation of new employees
Prepare safety procedures and monitor customers and subcontractor safety meetings
Inspect the site for unsafe conditions and practices and take appropriate corrective action to correct all observed problems
Lead weekly tool box safety meetings.

Position Requirements
In addition, MUST have extensive nuclear experience (experience on an SGR project required)
2 piece replacement experience is preferred
Experience with scaffold erection using tube and clamp type material also with scaffold and platform erection with seismic requirements.

Experienced with managing union craft, able to read and understand schedules including critical path information, able to read and understand blue prints.

Experience should include:
Planning, supervising, directing, and executing operations within assigned discipline(s) or area. Supervising and directing craft activities, subordinate superintendents and others as assigned.
Ensuring assigned construction operations and subcontractors performance are in compliance with specifications and with schedules and budgets.
Performing general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
