Job Description The Scenic Automation Division of PRG is responsible for the development, manufacture and support of Automated Scenic Control Systems (SCS) and custom scenic control packages used throughout the entertainment/event industry. We are seeking to hire an individual who will be responsible for maintaining equipment/parts inventories for the division and to perform related work.

The Position is focused on identifying, acquiring and tracking material both old and new that is used to maintain a rental fleet of SCS gear as well as new build electrical cabinets. The individual must be able to communicate with vendors and the in-house production personnel to get the necessary raw materials required to keep the fabrication schedule moving forward. The goal is to be able to contribute as a member of an automation team in the effort to produce a better product for less cost.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Maintain an inventory of electrical and industrial control components used in the assembling of software driven electrical scenic control assemblies.

Create and interpret Bills Of Materials (BOM), contact vendors, acquire competitive pricing and purchase necessary hardware. Track, verify and follow up on inbound product.

Create Kit assemblies for production runs based on required BOMs.

Oversee the repair logistics of failed Scenic Control System components.

Qualifications Experience :

Four or more years of industrial control system inventory management experience; or,

Four or more years of work experiences that involved learning the uses of electrical parts and components, and using a complex inventory management database.

Education :

Minimum: High School diploma or GED. Relevant College or Vocational School or Apprenticeship training or similar training may be substituted for up to 3 years of the required experience.

Other :

Working knowledge of electrical parts and components used in Automated Control Systems; Ability to work well as a team member; Ability to use an Oracle-based inventory purchasing module; Physically capable of lifting and moving electrical components stored in inventory. Must be able to work overtime and weekends with limited notice.
