Position responsible for maintaining and coordinating the service schedule for non-surgical areas. Monitors and schedules all outpatient cases.
Records all pertinent information into the scheduling book for pre-procedure phone calls and references. Maintains good rapport and working relations with internal and external customers. This position may verify insurance eligibility.
Must have knowledge of basic mathematics. Requires considerable logic and understanding to analyze problem and determine course of action. Proficient at interpersonal relationships. Reads, writes and orally communicates at a level to correctly explain information. Must have the ability to operate a multi-line telephone, typewriter, computer, copy machine, and fax machine. Requires attention to detail. Works regularly with confidential information. Must be familiar with medical terminology. Bi-lingual preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Prior clerical experience.
One-year experience in scheduling.
