Job Description:

staffing for a Scientific Project Manager. This position
is taking place at a well-known biotech company in
Cambridge, MA.

This is a 6 month temporary position at 40 hours per
week.
Ensure successful execution project and coordinate with
internal partners. Manage all external collaborations
and legal contracts. Coordinate all project and
contractual activities with the partners involved
partner functions , Research sites, external
collaborators, funders . Maintain summary information on
status and progress of projects. Develop and monitor
project schedules and coordinate with other departments,
and external partners to ensure timely completion of
project milestones. Develop resource plans, facilitate
resource allocation and track resource usage for grant
funded projects and/or pipeline projects, in assistance
to the project leaders. Collaborate with Finance to
ensure full transparency of resource plans/actual
resource usage. Manage and track budgets. Prepare and
review monthly reports needed for re-imbursement of
project related expenses, in collaboration with Finance.
Manage relations to internal and external collaboration
partners e.g. SAB meetings, scientific meetings,
progress updates etc. . Support Project Leader in
preparing agenda / attendee selection. Maintain EUREKA
and Research specific tools for Research activities in
project. Support RSO general activities and special
projects as needed. Decision Making: Prepares
internal/external scientific documents or contributes to
the review and release. Communicates issues proactively
and effectively, negotiates potential solutions
Translates project level strategy into study level
activities Proposes adequate options and scenarios for
individual studies / tasks / projects within the
function in response to commercial / external

environment Impact on Science, Research and Strategy:
Takes appropriate actions to resolve issues in area of
responsibility affecting research strategy and progress
Contributes to implementation of project specific
research and publication planTakes major responsibility
with some supervision for the data, results, discussion
and conclusion of the assigned studies Contributes to
scientific discussions and effectively reports content
of discussions e.g. presentations, publications Know-how
of Science and Research: Implements new processes with
minimal bureaucracy and a focus on efficiency. Performs
tasks with some supervision , where the level of
observational detail and accuracy required is
exceptional and consequences of mistakes can be serious.
Contributes to the translation of complex scientific
knowledge / information into appropriate language for
internal/external customers. Participates in internal
quality and process related meetings Collaboration and
Organizational Know-How: Represents function on project
teams, Identifies challenges and potential solutions
concerning plans, processes, timelines, bottlenecks,
resources and prioritization issues Skills Leadership
Vision - Quality of mentorship - Successful management
of a matrix organization Innovation Creativity -
Innovative problem solving -Demonstrated ability to
provide scientific guidance Contribution to pipeline -
Timely availability of project planning information
budget, activities, timelines Decision Making - Periodic
review of the progress of projects within the
functions/units/labs/project teams and implementation of
any corrective actions considered necessary

Education:
MS, PhD or MBA desirable

Languages:
English Mandatory. Italian or Mandarin Desirable.
