I. Essential Functions:
The main activities will be to provide and report data, as required by project contracts within the DAS-LMAC Department.

The data may be used for submission in regulatory packages, release and stability testing of clinical and animal trial dose forms and in support of development projects.

II. Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
1.

Principal Responsibilities may include (Technical Responsibilities where appropriate)

§

To plan, prioritize, organize and execute the conduct of analytical work in accordance with the requirements of the client contract and/or technical agreement.

§

To ensure that safe working practices are utilized in the laboratory and to comply with in-house SOPs and other safety legislation.

§

To communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, peers and supervising managers to facilitate the smooth conduct of project activities.

§

To establish and maintain technical communications with other corporate groups.

§

As appropriate, to assist in production of costing and timelines for client projects.

§

To maintain awareness of modern techniques and their application to Pharmaceutical Sciences activities.

2.

Additional Responsibilities

§

To perform checking & verifying of peers analytical data in accordance with in-house SOPs.

§

Regular Communication with:
o

Members of staff within DAS-LMAC

o

Members of staff within other operational Business Units.

o

Members of staff within Support Functions.

§

Occasional Communication with:
o

Members of staff and peers within UK Business Units

o

Staff within other parts of Catalent

o

Clients and Potential Clients of Catalent

o

Equipment Vendors

Qualifications

III. Position Requirements:
Education or Equivalent:
Scientist: BS degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, OR graduate degree with no minimum years of relevant experience is required.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
Cell culture, Bioassay, Immunoassay (ELISA, etc), cGMP knowledge and experience working with potency assays is preferred.
