The job responsibility within the Biological Technologies group in Analytical Development and Quality Control is to develop, and troubleshoot biochemical/immunological and cell-based assays in support of clinical and to-be-marketed products. The candidate will generate stable cell lines and reporter gene cell lines In support cell-based assay development. The candidate will support the development of R&D assays onto high throughput automations platforms utilizing liquid handlers, plate readers and high content analysis instruments. The candidate will identify and evaluate new assay technologies and work collaboratively with different research and development departments. In addition, the candidate will be expected to perform some testing as needed in support of process development and product characterization. Expectations will also include some routine lab maintenance, writing test procedures, SOPs, protocols, technical reports, and summarizing/presenting data. Additional responsibilities may include the presentation of data at internal and external meetings, as well as reports in support of IND/BLA regulatory filings, and supporting collaborations with other groups/sites. PhD in the biological sciences with and in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of cell biology. Expertise in stable cell line development and characterization, and automation including the use of liquid dispensers and imaging systems, with a minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral experience or industry experience. GLP or GMP experience will be considered a plus, but is not required.
