The Search Specialist will play a key role in recommending, defining, prioritizing, executing and managing our search strategies.
Help develop client search strategies
Assist in managing technology vendors
Assist in managing relationships with search engines
Be our point of contact for client team
Develop keyword lists, vendor allocations, budget levels
Analyze and report on campaign performance
Optimize search campaigns
Focus on client KPI’s and Metrics
Assist in developing strategy and recommendations for new business
Big picture, you love search but you want to learn more about analytics and how search fits into the full media picture. You will be working with our clients, our internal media team and the Search Engines to develop and implement strategic and tactical search marketing programs
Skills and Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree
You probably spent the last year or two working on a search account and are looking to take your search, marketing, and analytical skills to the next level
You enjoy testing new ad variations to see which one will get the best response
You know the difference between broad, phrase, exact, and negatively matched keywords
After a long day of optimizing keywords and bids you enjoy the satisfaction of seeing a higher CTR and ROI
Where others see endless sheets of data you see opportunities for optimization and new keyword portfolios
You will take whatever keyword tool you can get your hand on if it can show you new opportunities to test and profit
Experience working with Google AdWords
You are a wizard at Excel: Pivot Tables, Formulas, and Filters are your bread and butter
2-4 years’ experience in SEM, PPC or exchange based display buying at an agency, technology firm or company engaged in digital marketing/media
Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and develop recommendations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A work style that is detail-oriented, organized and shows the ability to prioritize projects, trouble-shoot, multi-task and meet deadlines
A Team-player personality with a positive attitude and a flexible work style
It is a Big Plus if you have experience in:
Site side analytics: Omniture, Google Analytics etc.
Use of DSPs or ad exchanges: MediaMath, Turn, Yahoo! Yield Manager, etc.
Management of other biddable media campaigns such as Facebook & Facebook ads API partners
Data visualization or BI tools such as Tableau and Micro Strategy
Knowledge of databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Filemaker, etc
Knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Ruby, PHP, etc
Google Adwords Certification
