Support the sales department by providing frontline assistance to current and potential guests of Arlington Park.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for generating revenue through the sales of ticket packages and restaurant reserved seating
- Exhibit a pleasant, patient and friendly attitude while assisting customers via phone, e-mail, and in person
- Assist customers with picking up group sales, season box holder, and admission presale tickets
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Efficiently use ticketing computer system to accurately process customer orders and distribute tickets
- Continually maintain working knowledge of all company products, services & promotions
- Maintain customer database
- Exhibit great attention to detail
- Work as sales team member in assisting as additional tasks arise
- Cold calls are not required nor encouraged

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Personal Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrate pristine telephone etiquette
- Ability to effectively interact with customers, staff, and management in a professional setting
- Good reasoning skills and problem solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task and perform job functions with a sense of urgency
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word along with above average computer skills
- Must have a very professional demeanor coupled with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle situations with varied stress levels
- Must be available for Arlington Park’s entire racing season (May-September)
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends

Education, Training and Experience:
- Experience in customer service
- Strong computer skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent necessary
