Work schedule is four 10-hr days, Monday through Thursday (7:00a.m.-5:30p.m) with occasional weekend or off-hours overtime required. Work will start in May and will go into November.
Under general supervision, this position provides or assists in a variety of skilled and semiskilled work in the construction, maintenance, repair and restoration of Open Space parks and their associated facilities, infrastructures and buildings.
Work involves assisting in the construction of facilities at new and existing parks. Employee is also responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities, buildings and structures.
High school diploma and ability to read operating instructions and warning labels, some construction or maintenance experience strongly preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license, if you are from out of state, you must have a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date, and you must not have any major violations, nor more than one DUI, DWI, DWAI conviction in the past three years. Must be able to exert 100 pounds of force to move objects. May be required to obtain First Aid/CPR certificate as part of the job training. May be required to pass a respiratory function test in order to wear respiratory protective equipment.
