Position: Seasonal Stock Associate
Status: Temporary, part-time, non-exempt
Reports to: Store Manager

Position Overview
The Seasonal Stock Associate assists in maintaining the stock room and replenishing the sales floor with merchandise during our busiest time of year. This position assists the store team in ensuring all shipment/receiving processes are followed by required standards and keeps the stock room organized so that available merchandise can be located quickly, safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities: (including, but not limited to)
Organize stockroom and ensure that it is maintained in a neat, clean, and organized manner, and in accordance with established store and building requirements
Breakdown cardboard, packaging and dispose of trash in a timely manner and in accordance with established store and building requirements
Audit and ensure accuracy on all inventory paperwork, including bill of lading, shipment manifests, direct ship invoices, MOS and RTV reports
Verify, ship and track store orders to customers and other Sur La Table locations to ensure accurate and timely delivery
Pack merchandise to reduce breakage, damage and loss
Adhere to all Company policies and procedures to avoiding overweight charges for outgoing shipments
Ticket items received without prices and/or re-ticket items that have price changes
Work in a clean, efficient and organized manner to ensure customer service is maintained
Support recovery and replenishment of the sales floor, ensuring visual standards is maintained
Protect the assets of the company by ensuring Loss Prevention critical controls are maintained, and communicate any concerns regarding merchandise, or policy violations to management in a timely manner
Communicate clearly and professionally to customers and employees
May participate in physical inventory and cycle count processes
May ring on the register as needed in accordance with POS guidelines
Job Requirements: (including, but not limited to)
1+ year experience in a retail and/or merchandise driven environment
Available to work a flexible schedule including nights & weekends as business dictates
Some experience with retail POS systems (preferred)
Able to stand and/or walk for an extended period of time and maneuver around the sales floor and stock rooms
Able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
