Applications are now being accepted to join our team as a Seasonal Stormwater Maintenance Worker within the Municipal Services Department. This position is a temporary, seasonal position working full-time hours for up to 11 months, typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Duties involve manual labor to maintain stormwater infrastructure, including but not limited to open channels (natural & improved), detention and retention facilities including city lakes, wetlands, corrugated metal pipe (CMP), high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) and other stormwater quality Best Management Practices (BMPs). Other duties include assisting with City festivals and events which may require working occasionally on weekends and/or holidays, and in cold weather months working 12-hour shifts for snow removal.

QUALIFICATIONS: HS/GED or equivalent training and 4 years' experience and valid CDL drivers’ license with good driving record and required endorsements or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire. Experience preferred in Landscape/Horticulture, concrete or maintenance related trades or any equivalent combination education, training and experience to perform assigned duties. Must have physical ability to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions. Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and background investigation. Starting pay is $12.25 per hour. Seasonal benefits include 30 hours of paid leave after 30 days of employment.
