To provide a wide variety of administrative tasks to support the Business Office as a whole. This could include clerical, fiscal, and receptionist duties.
Must have a high school diploma or GED plus two years of progressive work experience.
Filing, reception and general office experience necessary.
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping skills required.
Minimum typing of 45 wpm and at least one year experience with word processing and computers.
Must be able to receive and follow instructions and accomplish tasks accurately and efficiently.
Organizational skills and the ability to act independently are necessary.
Must possess good communication and written skills and be able to maintain confidentiality.
Provide administrative support for our front office. Establish, and maintain our business office cash register. Classifies, sorts and files correspondence and clients information whether financial or medical as directed under the supervision of the Business Office Manager or designee.
Greets visitors, answers telephones and routes incoming calls to appropriate staff members.
Receives and verifies cash deposits and determines account coding for all deposits for business office.
Prepares and distributes Monthly billing records (statements) for patients. Prints billing records (claims) weekly for insurance companies.
Arrange monthly department meeting, take meeting minutes and distribute.
Copies, complies and distributes departmental reports as requested.
Compiles and inputs data infonnation into RPMS or Meditech computer system as directed on a routine basis.
Orders office supplies and equipment independently or as directed.
Responsible for inventorying, monitoring, delivering, checking in and out supplies within office.
Performs a wide variety assignments or special projects for Manager or Assistant Manager dealing with Patient billing.
Performs routine trouble-shooting and maintenance for the Business Office. This includes equipment, i.e.; postage machine, copiers, typewriters, and printers as needed.
Distributes mail to appropriate staff members.
