The Department Secretary performs clerical functions to support the daily operations of the department.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides clerical support to the BH Services Leadership Team.
Demonstrates proficiency in telephone skills and use of other office technology such as fax, copier, computer, etc.
- Establishes and maintains appointment schedules for service line leadership.
- Coordinates meetings / maintains meeting minutes.
- Maintains personnel files and other regulatory information as requested.
- Assists with the coordination of service line information / communications.
Maintains unit statistics, manuals, and other records/data/communications as assigned.
Responsible for maintaining an orderly environment - organization of unit work space, files, etc.
Completes Departmental Orientation Checklist within 90 days of employment and completes all identified competencies for job description on an annual basis
PHYSICIAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sit up to 8 hours per day: 4 hours at a time. Stand for up to 2 hour per day; ten minutes at a time. Walk 1 hour per day: 10 minutes at a time. Continuously uses fingers and hands to manipulate objects. Continuously twists/turns fingers and hand simultaneously. Continuously lifts, carries, pushes and pulls objects up to 10 lbs. Occasionally lifts, carries and pushes objects up to 25 lbs. Frequently pulls objects up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lifts, carries, pushes and pulls objects up to 50 lbs. Must have the ability for hearing as it relates to normal, high and low frequency. Must have the ability for seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Continuously stoop, bend and reach above shoulder level. Occasionally squats, crouches, kneels, and climbs. Must have/eye coordination for computer operation.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Previous clerical, computer and office technology skills required.
