Secretary to Deputy Superintendent
High School diploma or equivalent
Accurate typing, filing, bookkeeping
database, and spreadsheet skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Effective communication skills and ability
to work collaboratively with others
Ability to work semi-independently and prioritize tasks
To complete the detail and written work relating to the Deputy Superintendent's office.
(The following are the essential fundamentals to include but not limited to the following job duties.)
Serve as receptionist for the Deputy Superintendent (taking telephone calls, making appointments, and giving general information where possible about elementary schools).
Take dictation, type, file as required.
Types, assembles and distributes bulletins, brochures, forms, reports, and various communications to the superintendent, staff, and public.
Record and prepare minutes of various meetings.
Process and maintain minutes of various meetings.
Assist other secretaries when an emergency develops.
Maintain bookkeeping and accounting records for the Deputy Superintendent.
Maintain state student information system database.
Assist with local assessments (copying, scanning and preparing documents).
Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Deputy Superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Wages, hours, terms, and conditions of employment pursuant to negotiated agreement.
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
