Security Administrator IT I
Develops and manages security for more than one IT functional area (e.g., data, systems, network and/or Web) across the enterprise. Assists in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures (e.g., user log-on and authentication rules, security breach escalation procedures, security auditing procedures and use of firewalls and encryption routines).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Prepares status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures.
Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications
Responsible for the tracking and monitoring of software viruses
Enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates, and maintains and documents security controls
Involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness
Provides direct support to the business and IT staff for security related issues
Educates IT and the business about security policies and consults on security issues regarding user built/managed systems
Represents the security needs of the organization by providing expertise and assistance in all IT projects with regard to security issues
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Technical writer for development and upkeep of all PnP’s critical to maintain security compliance.
Content and communication tactic development for the customer and employee Security Awareness Programs, to include; Intranet security portal content updates, monthly newsletter articles, employee communications, Laptop & BYOD security initiatives, and more.
Develop research, function/non-functional requirements, reporting and remediation methods for ISP Botnet initiative.
Assist with development/deployment of security related notification campaigns.
3 to 5 years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, applications development, database design and administration
1 to 2 years of experience with information security
Must be highly customer service oriented and have sense of urgency and responsive.
Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills.
Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Software Sharepoint, Excel, Adobe Pro Creative Suite, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Visio Looking for a creative, resourceful and innovative individual with strong content writing, editing, data validation, layout, graphic design and publishing skills.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION & LICENSES
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
