Provide reliable, consistent security support, as well as consulting services to effectively protect Health Plan information and systems. Perform routine day-to-day administration, as well as performing database maintenance, more complex problem resolution, and support for internal and external audits. Some travel is required.
Implement basic controls to define and remove users from the multi-platform environment within Health Plan.
Provide recommendations and solutions to business partners regarding data protection and implement the agreed upon controls.
Work with system users and data owners to determine necessary controls and access requirements for Health Plan information protection.
Proactively performs security monitoring for multiple operating systems and the associated troubleshooting.
May act as an internal project leader for projects such as awareness, implementing security interfaces and general security education.
Provides 24 x 7 support for all Health Plan Security Administration issues on a rotating basis.
Uses all available resources to resolve security-related problems and technical questions, including technical staff, technical manuals, web-based documentation, and security-related tools.
Attends training and works with Technical staff to acquire further knowledge and skills in security administration, security database maintenance, security tools and Health Plan applications.

Regular and reliable attendance is required
• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related discipline or equivalent in experience
• Minimum of 3 years of security administration or similar system administration function
• Solid knowledge of UNIX, Windows NT, RACF, Lotus Notes, Novell
• Knowledge of operating systems, JCL, DBMS, change control, dial access, generally accepted security and data processing principles
• CISSP or CISA certification desired.
