This position is also responsible for performing visitor security screenings at various state-owned facilities. This position is located in Raleigh, NC.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
The work requires an individual who has a working knowledge of the standard safety, surveillance and security practices and equipment. Some knowledge of standard methods of reporting and handling emergencies such as disturbances and fires, medical and security threats, ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, and the ability to respond quickly and properly to emergency situations. Individual in this position should possess the ability to meet and deal with the public tactfully, courteously and effectively as well as be able to follow oral and written instructions.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduation from high school and one year of experience in security work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. . . . .
