POSITION SUMMARY (Briefly describe the position)
Provides the security and protection for St. Johns facilities, property and personnel. Makes patients, visitors and vendors feel secure during visits to St. Johns clinics and administrative offices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Patrol buildings and grounds to prevent fires, theft and vandalism, inspects doors, windows and locks to determine
level of security, ensure that only authorized personnel are admitted onto clinic premises.
Investigate incidents of unusual circumstances reported by clinic staff, visitors, physicians or patients, write incident
reports and document investigative steps and results.
Inspect outgoing parcels to prevent theft of clinic property.
Escort female employees to cars after working hours.
Occasional visits to other sites and drop off supplies.
Respond to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly or combative patients.
assist with traffic control keeping fire lanes, garage entrance, fire hydrants and ambulance entrances free of vehicles.
Assist motorists who become stranded on clinic property, escort visitors, patients/employees to/from parking areas.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School or Equivalent
General experience in security with no criminal convictions. Must be able to perform essential functions without
Disaster Preparedness Certification.
Employees are responsible for maintaining individual certifications as required by job function or by law and provide
verification and recertification when requested by management.

The Center also serves a critical function in early identification and referral for serious medical conditions requiring more advanced medical treatment. Our Clinics serves chronically underserved, uninsured and economically disadvantaged families. St. Johns Well Child and Family Center has been involved in increasing the availability and access to health care for the
