Required skills:
Strong systems and network security awareness

Extensive experience in administration of shared/multi-user Linux/Solaris servers

Virtualization experience with KVM/Virtuozzo/Xen

Strong programming and scripting in some or all of the following: Perl, Python, Ruby, and Shell scripting

Familiar with Puppet / Configuration management

A thorough understanding of Apache/MySQL/PHP and their vulnerabilities

Network security tracking experience with thorough understanding of network protocols and topologies

Experience with server-hardening technologies such as SELinux, iptables, firewalls

Able to automate security-related tasks and sufficiently document them

Experience with LDAP/Kerberos

Help ensure that our servers and services are secure by default

Develop and implement tools and processes to defend against various types of attacks and intrusions

Provide risk-graded awareness of what is running on, and happening to, our infrastructure

Own the creation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines

Cross train all departments on Infosec standards and procedures

Advise management on recommendations designed to improve security considerations

Track compliance status of all OS vulnerability exploits with technical product owners

Collaborate with business units, application teams, architectural teams, and third party vendors

Research, provide guidance, and apply developments in the IT security industry to the company

Document new security procedures and improvement of old ones

Implement security protocol modifications after careful review of systems and network impact and after approval from the Change Control Board

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security best practices and technologies

Not required, but nice to have:
BS or BA degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, Masters preferred

CISSP and/or CISM security certification

Experience coordinating information security activities

Detailed knowledge and experience in security and regulatory frameworks including ISO 27001, GLBA, SOX, PCI, FFIEC etc
