DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Security Officer shall patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety of all casino employees, guests, property and assets. The officer shall perform pit fills, observe count teams during drop procedure, and complete reports as required.

DUTIES

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest quality customer service to all casino guests, employees, departments and vendors.
  • Observe all activity in an assigned area to ensure the safety of all guests and employees.
  • Assist Cash Operations personnel with hopper fills.
  • Perform table fills.
  • Assist Security Shift Supervisor in detention of guests.
  • Complete all reports in a timely manner.
  • Report all violations of all laws, Soboba Casino policies and procedures, Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission regulations, and internal controls.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license
  • Negative results on all drug and alcohol tests
  • Clean and valid California Driver License
  • BSIS Security Guard Card or Proprietary Private Security Officer (PSO) License
Education and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to promote a positive and professional image
  • Qualifying score on the following examinations
o Report documentation
o Oral Interview
o Physical Abilities
o Background Investigation
o Drag 100lbs for 50ft

Any education beyond the minimum requirement, as well as any experience and training that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary, shall be considered.

Work Environment

  • Moderate to loud noise levels
  • Exposure to second hand smoke
  • Exposure to all types of weather conditions
