Protecting the Magic is the main goal of the Walt Disney World® Resort Security. Cast members may work in various locations throughout our Theme Park and Resort Hotel areas, both on-stage and backstage, maintaining an environment that enables our guests and cast members to experience the magic of Disney.
Security Cast Members receive a starting rate of $10.55/hour .
Third-Shift Security Cast Members also receive a premium of $.80/hour.
Security roles include walking patrol, motor patrol, kiosk support and relief support, which is responsible for providing breaks to the other three positions. In all of these roles, responsibilities include writing and inputting reports, conducting visual inspections of bags or packages, directing traffic, responding to radio calls as needed, calling in safety concerns and completing visual inspections and observing occurrences of areas being patrolled.
Security cast members will also be trained in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) procedures to respond to guest and cast emergencies as needed.
You must be at least 19 years of age to be considered for this role.
You must have a valid Florida Driver License to be considered for this role.
You must have no moving violations for the past twelve (12) months.
Prolonged standing for two to three hours at a time and heavy lifting may be required.
Willing to work at various heights is required.
This role is Part-Time and requires full availability for any shift, a MINIMUM of THREE (3) days per week, including nights and holidays.
Previous Security, Law Enforcement, Military or related Public Safety experience.
Previous security responsibilities for a multi-site campus facility (either corporate or college setting)
Full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays is preferred.
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
