Position Description

We are seeking a Security Solutions Architect who will use their skills and knowledge of security best practices and Symantec products to develop technically feasible and competitive solutions for complex, enterprise problems for a variety of Federal clients.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design, integrate, and implement security solutions, using Symantec products
  • Perform or assist with information security assessments, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing and associated remediation (risk mitigation)
  • Provide product and solution training within the Sales and Engineering departments as required
  • Assist sales staff in all technical aspects of the sales cycle, including customer requirements and opportunity analysis, product presentations and demonstrations, and determination and sizing of final configuration
  • Support sales representatives with technical discussions and calls with customers and partners, assisting sales in completing RFP responses and trade show support
  • Work with Program Managers to ensure technical solutions are complaint with the definitions in the Statement of Work
  • Provide technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate
  • Track industry trends and maintain knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise’s architecture needs
  • May participate in business development activities

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in infrastructure/systems environments performing systems planning, systems security, architecture design and engineering
  • Understanding of Continuous Monitoring processes and technologies
  • Knowledge of CVSS scoring, SCAP, CCE, OVAL, NVD
  • Expert knowledge of Symantec Control Compliance Suite, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Symantec Risk Automation Suite, and Symantec Critical System Protection
  • Knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Knowledge and understanding of NIST 800-53 and 800-37 and FIPS 140-2
  • Understanding of security sensors, APIs, scan engines, data feeds and collectors
  • Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) techniques and technologies

    • Symantec Certified Specialist (SCS) Data Loss Prevention or similar
    • Symantec Certified Professional (SCP) Data Protection or other
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
