Handle incoming and perform outgoing security related customer service calls. Responsible for responding to abuse complaints against customers; perform security and customer support services under general supervision. Ensure consistent treatment of customers accused of violating Charter’s Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP) regarding High Speed Data customer services. Interact with the customer base to assist in resolving security incidents and concerns.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Prepares status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures
Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications
Responsible for the tracking and monitoring of software viruses
Enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates, and maintains and documents security controls
Involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness
Provides direct support to the business and IT staff for security related issues
Educates IT and the business about security policies and consults on security issues regarding user built/managed systems
Represents the security needs of the organization by providing expertise and assistance in all IT projects with regard to security issues
3 to 4 years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, applications development, database design and administration; one to two years of experience with information security.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with business managers, IT engineering, legal and IT operations staff.
Working knowledge of IP addressing and lease logs records.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and be capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Ability to conduct research into security issues, law enforcement inquiries and Charter services as required.
Must be highly customer service oriented and have sense of urgency and responsive.

Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION & LICENSES
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Criminal Justice or related field or equivalent work experience
Experience/Competency in information security, computer forensics, and electronic discovery technologies desired.
