As Player Support Security Specialist , you’ll defend the Riot home front against invasion, hack or threat with a combination of the latest security technology and your own homegrown solutions. As a master coder, you’ll build, develop and maintain the tools that transform massive collections of security data into intelligible chunks to find holes in the security matrix. You’ll be first on the scene to assess the situation when bad guys breach the castle and suggest remediation plans that keep service running strong for players. As security technologies evolve, you’ll continuously fine-tune and upgrade processes and your own know-how to stay ahead of the latest security issues and scams.
A data detective: you’re an open-source super-sleuth with prior data-mining experience who leaves no stone unturned and no line of code unanalyzed when searching for evidence; you’re driven to hunt down the hows and whys of nefarious security plots to stay abreast of the ever-changing world of security
Tight-lipped: your lips are sealed when handling player information and conducting hush-hush security investigations so players’ sensitive data is kept safe and secure
Impossibly plausible: “impossible” is your favorite kind of possible and you’ve dispelled “can’t” from your vocabulary; no matter the circumstances, you savor each opportunity to answer “challenge accepted”
An evolving problem solver: no matter which problem rears its ugly head, you’ve got a solution chambered that’s ready to fell the beast; security scams, exploits and hackers won’t stop evolving, so why should you?
As investigative coder: you’ve created scripts and tools for games and spent time leveling up your skills by breaking down others’ code and piecing it back together to understand how it functions
Player-focused: as a player yourself, you understand how important security is to a healthy player experience, so you’re armed and ready to defend the game and community you love
Analyze, verify and document security issues to keep players and League of Legends safe and secure
Act as security first responder and assess the various levels of risk that each new hack, script or other malicious code poses to player experiences and live service operation
Develop and modify scripts, programs and tools to quickly process large volumes of security data
Collaborate with teams to review security research and develop remediation techniques
Use your gamer expertise to prioritize security risks that are most harmful to players
