This position provides supervises the day-to-day operations and personnel involved in providing business security protection activities.
Establishes, implements, and supervises the operational procedures and activities required to safely provide a wide range of business security services.
Directly supervise, support and coordinate assigned personnel.
Ensures all activities and personnel comply with appropriate safety requirements and sound business practices.
Handles all emergency situations.
Maintains client and employee communication channels to coordinate activities, resolve problems and maintain a flow of information throughout all levels of the organization.
Works with client and area organizations to ensure cooperation and coordination of activities.
Produces a wide range of reports and other related security written materials.
Conducts a variety of observing, monitoring & controlling of security services.
Ensures employee professional training and development requirements are being monitored and updated.
Ensures that the responsibilities of all assigned employees are understood.
Support and supervise an active and comprehensive safety program and will update as necessary.
The security supervisor will coordinate all fire safety issues as well as coordinate required fire/safety drills and maintain records.
Monitors safety hazards in assigned area.
Consistently manage assigned activities, internal communications/teamwork, making decisions, and solving problems.
Must present a neat and professional business attire at all times.
Works without a great deal of immediate or close administrative/central office support services.
Other related duties may also be assigned.
This Position Requires:
High school diploma (or GED).
At least two years of directly related experience.
The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
Must be able to pass background check.
A valid Security Guard license upon hire.
Language skills sufficient to: 1. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 2. Write routine reports and correspondence. 3. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Math skills sufficient to: 1. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 2. Compute rate, ratio, and percent. 3. Draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning abilities sufficient to: 1. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 2. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbents are regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and smell. Incumbents must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color and peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Incumbents are occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
