Semiconductor Process Engineer
Location: MEMS Design Center - Fremont, CA
Measurement Specialties designs and builds Accelerometer, Pressure, Force and other MEMS devices. This position is to sustain an existing MEMS production wafer fab and help develop new products and processes. It requires an understanding of wafer fabs and their strengths and weaknesses in regards to MEMS devices. Expertise in semiconductor process engineering and MEMS designs is needed. Some electrical engineering and mechanical engineering will also be required for test & evaluation of new devices. Experimentation and process development requires “hands on” work.
Responsible for sustaining of existing production. This includes the following:
Process data analysis and SPC reporting
Parametric and Wafer Sort data analysis
Designing and implementing improved fixtures and equipment
Specifying procedures for maintenance and facilities on new equipment/fixtures.
Must be able to interface with external foundries.
Be involved in the introduction of new devices into production
MEMS sensor operational theory
Interfacing with a foundry service
SPC, proficiency with statistics
Familiar with Chemical Safety Procedures
Must be able to design and carry out experiments requiring the assembly of custom fixtures, materials, etc.
Microsoft Access - not required, but a plus
Visual Basic or C - not required, but a plus
SUPREM - not required, but experience is a plus
DW2000, LEdit or equivalent – not required, but a plus
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
College Degree in Science or Engineering
2+ years semiconductor process engineering sustaining experience
