Janrain is the hands down market leader in user management solutions for the social web, and is expanding its Sales organization, looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive to add further potential to the team's already accelerated growth! The role requires a tenacious, intelligent salesperson who is agile and can quickly establish credibility and rapport with executives and managers who are responsible for driving their multi-channel social presence. The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for researching, prospecting, qualifying, presenting proposals and ultimately closing sales deals. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is biased towards action and has prior experience selling enterprise level SaaS solutions. Janrain's products and services lend themselves to individuals who have experience with social media applications, ecommerce platforms or selling web infrastructure solutions.

The flagship products, Janrain Engage and Janrain Capture, allow organizations to register and log-in site visitors with their existing credentials from Facebook, Google, Yahoo!, Twitter, MySpace, AOL, Hotmail, Windows Live ID or other accounts. It allows them to import rich user profile data and address books, and encourage users to share their on-site activities with their social networks to drive additional referral traffic. Additionally, our products and services ultimately drive a more complete engagement life cycle with consumers.

Responsibilities:
Source and close new business to meet and exceed monthly sales goals
Build and intimate understanding of Janrain's products, their place in the industry, and the technical terms used by customers in combination with those products
Proactively prospect to potential customers and engage in variety of mediums
Deliver compelling sales presentations using industry knowledge, market trends and case studies to clearly communicate the Janrain SaaS platform value propositions
Qualify, document, and communicate with all prospects
Develop and execute sales strategy in dynamic small team environment
Always deliver the highest level of customer services
Keep daily records of calls and information requests through extensive use of Salesforce.com
Stay current on industry knowledge, as well as the competitive posture of the company
Contribute to the overall sales strategy and share successes

Requirements:
7+ years in sales/ commission/ quota based role in the online space
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong grasp of fundamentals of social media, online advertising, cloud and emerging technology
Strong attention to detail and ability to QA own work
Professional proposal preparation experience
Excellent research/ lead generation/ sales planning skills
Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals
Ability to effectively manage time
Effective in reaching decision makers and quickly determining opportunity potential
Innate curiosity in technology and the ability to explain complex concepts in everyday terms
Ability to move fast and thrive in a dynamic, quickly-changing environment
Drive to close more contracts than are needed to exceed quota on monthly basis
Experience with Salesforce.com and online webinar technology to conduct product demonstrations
