We are currently seeking a Senior Account Executive - Teams Sports - American Express

General description and duties:
  • Key team member of American Express Team Sports vertical
  • Responsible for project(s) execution according to agency standards within established budgets and timeframes
  • Provides day-to-day client contact, managing the relationship and expectations in accordance with agency philosophy
  • Builds thorough understanding of client's business
  • Utilizes agency tools in conveying all necessary executions (i.e. creative briefs, job starts)
  • Solicits and provides all relevant job information to team members in a timely manner
  • Builds full knowledge of agency’s offerings, mission and vision
  • Successfully participates and is involved in the management of project financials in accordance with agency policy and procedure (POs, check requests, estimates)
  • Establishes effective relationships across agency multi-disciplinary teams
  • Utilizes agency resources appropriately and efficiently
  • Mentors more junior team members where applicable
Team Sports specific duties:
  • Liaison with multiple team sports partnerships across the NBA, NHL and Venues
  • Support new program initiatives around digital and social media
  • Plan and manage experiential programs in-venue
  • Facilitate dialogue between partners and other client agencies
  • Responsible for call and meeting recaps
  • Communications and on-sale asset management
  • Day-to-day budget management and tracking
  • Ability to travel and work nights/weekends if necessary
  • Participation in the creative process and ability to innovate where they see necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
4+ years of relevant professional experience

Solid communication skills – written and verbal

Polished, professional demeanor, projects confidence and enthusiasm for the business

Proven success in project management and managing multiple priorities

Demonstrated history of establishing effective working relationships across a diverse team

Demonstrates solid understanding of agency processes, department functions and workflow

Demonstrates understanding of branding and brand value

Demonstrates knowledge of financials; billing reports, invoicing, financial maintenance on projects/clients and are able to generate estimates
