Job Summary:
Manages an account portfolio in the Food and Consumer Business Unit with an approximate value of $40M, primarily focused on PepsiCo (including Tropicana, Frito Lay, Quaker and Gatorade). Primary account locations are in FL, NJ, OH and TX.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:
Design, market, sell and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to several FC accounts in the eastern US.

Lead strategic development of renewed existing account penetration and new supply chain solutions.

Negotiate and close large, complex

commercial proposals in conjunction with all relevant CSX groups including Marketing, Service Design, Operations, Customer Service, Industrial Development, etc.

Create and execute strategic account plans for customers.

Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT and customer organizations while pushing each for improved performance or increased business levels.

Establish measurements and feedback mechanisms to ensure customer requirements are met on a daily basis.

Lead and develop improved service plans with customer and appropriate CSX groups, including Service Design, Operations, and Customer Service.

Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Operations, or related major field of study

3 or more years of experience required in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance

Equivalent Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or higher degree required from an accredited institution

5 or more years of experience required in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales/Account Management, Marketing, or Finance

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to meeting the above qualifications, the following is preferred:

Masters degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, or Operations

Knowledge and Skills:
Leadership skills

Problem-solving skills

Microsoft Office skills

Analytical, financial, negotiation skills

Oral and written communication skills

Ability to handle complex Fortune 500 Accounts

Knowledge of mainframe and personal computer systems

Knowledge of the railroad or transportation industries

Ability to effectively deliver presentations to a variety of audiences

50% travel required.
