As part of WP Engine's rapid growth, we're seeking a Senior Account Manager to join our team. As a Senior Account Manager you'll be working with some of our largest customers with the most complex websites. They've chosen WP Engine to run their business and you're the person they'll turn to when they need help. You should know your customers by name; understand their business, and the goals for their website. Not only can you roll up your sleeves and help them when they have a technical problem, you're proactive and talking to them even when they don't have something wrong. Chances are you'll be working with some big name companies and you have the knowledge and experience to handle a high-profile corporation as one of your accounts. In short, you know what needs to be done and can do it without close supervision.
Specific RESPONSIBILITIES for this position include:
You are the single point of contact for a high profile customer base of 25-50 accounts. That means you'll be the one coordinating the customer and our team.
You make sure the customer is happy but know that happiness can change quickly. Keeping them as WP Engine customer is a major part of this position.
You understand how things work from inside the company and where to go to get answers and results.
You're the customer's advocate, whether it's technical, accounting, support, or billing.
You can give a precise report on a customer account to anyone in the company.
You know what an SLA is and can answer customer questions about it.
You're able to handle any curveballs the customer might throw your way, whether it's a custom feature request or short notice of a big launch.
You're a natural leader. People naturally turn to you for guidance because you've done this before and have done it well.
Specific QUALIFICATIONS for this position include:
You've been managing customers for over 3 years and have owned accounts personally.
You are a natural leader and can mentor other account managers.
You have a technical background, preferably in the hosting and servers.
You've supported a Fortune 500 company before, successfully.
You're a great communicator, whether written or spoken. You'll be working with corporations, their executives, and that's not a problem.
You don't have to be reminded that this isn't a 9 to 5, Monday through Friday job - it's about the customer.
