SUMMARY

The Inventory Accounting Analyst works closely with site manufacturing operations to fairly state the financials for both the Balance Sheet and the Income Statement for activity related to Inventory. He/She will execute the monthly closing process to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-to-date cost position for the site(s). He/She will also work to establish a close relationship with the BU's and reporting COE to help facilitate the sharing of cost information.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Execute all accounting routines required to complete monthly and quarterly financial closings
2. Understand, establish and maintain a set of internal controls to help verify the accuracy of the financial results reported
3. Understand all the financial aspects of the different manufacturing operations within the sites for which they are responsible
4. Responsible for preparation of various monthly/quarterly account reconciliations
5. Establish a close relationship with the BU's (Including Operations) and the Reporting COE
6. Must be able to clearly articulate to the BU's what costs hit for a specific time period
7. Responsible for handling all audit inquiries for assigned area

Location:
This position may be located in Pittsfield, MA or Mt. Vernon, IN.

Qualifications/Requirements
Education/Certification
· Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
· Outstanding academic results
· FMP/GFDP/PFLP graduate
Knowledge Desired
· Interest and experience in a global manufacturing environment
· Strong knowledge of Inventory flow and ability to translate an individual transaction into an Income Statement or Balance Sheet impact
· Ability to plan, execute and reconcile a Physical Inventory
· Must have proven track record of successful project management and process improvement
Experience Desired
· 2 or more years experience in Finance
· Specific knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting preferred
· Inventory / Cost Accounting experience desired
Skills/Abilities
· Demonstrated financial knowledge & leadership
· Strong business acumen and operational mindset
· Must have strong systems skills with proficiency in Excel, Business Objects and PowerPoint
· Strong analytical skills and strong critical thinking skills
