The Senior Accountant , under the direction of the Director, National Accounting, is responsible for preparing, processing, and verifying bi-weekly payroll and related transactions. The Senior Accountant will be accountable for routinely preparing, reviewing, analyzing and distributing financial reports, general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations and other financial records.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of five years’ experience in accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Must be proficient in all areas of accounting including, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, investments, and preparation of financial statements;
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices, and laws related to payroll, payroll taxes, and benefits;
Experience with ADP payroll systems, and Blackbaud Financial Edge (FE) is preferred.
Must have excellent oral, written communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines;
Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and thorough;
Ability to interact positively and work collaboratively with vendors and individuals at all levels;
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work independently with limited supervision;
Some supervisory experience is preferred.
