Dye Precision, Inc. is the industry leader in Paintball and Action Sports equipment manufacturing and distribution. We seek an experienced Senior Accountant to work out of our headquarters located in Poway, CA. Dye Precision, Inc. is a dynamic, fast-growing company and we are looking for a career-minded, growth-oriented individual to join our accounting department. The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller and is responsible for the monthly general ledger close, balance sheet and income statement analysis, and balance sheet and income statement presentation. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for overseeing the Accounting department in preparing journal entries, posting to the general ledger, creating detailed reports and account reconciliations, providing senior management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Not intended to be all-inclusive)
General responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures Analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis Prepare monthly account reconciliations Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances Assist with financial and tax audits Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements Assist with quarterly producer commission reports; analyzing and correcting discrepancies Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls Flexibility to work additional hours Other projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance MBA or CPA certification preferred 5+ years accounting/finance experience Experience in the insurance industry preferred Highly detail oriented and organized in work Ability to meet assigned deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction Expert with email and Microsoft Office applications Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies Strong understanding of accounting theory

FAMILIARITY WITH THE FOLLOWING SOFTWARE
Microsoft Office Suite: Word and Excel expert. MAS Accounting Software 1 0-K ey a dding machine or calculator skills required Knowledge of the following is a plus: ATX Total Accounting Office; Intuit QuickBooks software; Sage CPAClient Checkbook; Summit Software Summit Biofuels Accounting
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; however, different degrees may be considered with strong related experience Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Accounting or other relevant position, preferably a processing function in a manufacturing environment. Experience with implementation of Accounting related technology solutions. Experience in leadership role.
