The position requires at least a Bachelor's Degree and at least three years of prior-related work experience.
Substitution of Experience for Education Permitted (Non-faculty only)
The position: (1) prepares advanced, complex income and expenditure statements and reports, (2) analyzes data, reports and records, (3) reconciles accounts and/or statements as required, (4) verifies the accuracy of vouchers, accounting classifications and records and (5) conducts special studies to review accounting methods and procedures. In addition, uses both personal computer and college-wide applications to input, retrieve, display, edit, reconcile and report information as necessary. May exercise considerable initiative in order to obtain job objectives. May direct and check work of clerks and accountants. Maintains knowledge of advanced accounting procedures.
Prefer applicants with: (1) a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related major, (2) familiarity with GAAP, GASB, OMB-A21, A110, A133, (3) excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, (4) the ability to prepare accounting transactions and reports as required, and (5) proficiency with computer applications such as Excel and Access.
Supplemental Job Information
This position oversees multiple local, state and federal grants. In addition, the position maintains cash draw downs and reporting as required.
