  • Provide financial support for multiple divisions in order to identify and provide understanding of individual business unit financial health
  • Provide consultation and direction to management in order to identify issues and provide guidance related to financial results
  • Assist with forecast preparation
  • Actual vs. Forecast variance analysis
  • Current Year vs. Prior Year variance analysis
  • Prepares complex financial statements; reconciles general ledger account balances; prepares state and use tax filings for superior’s approval; prepares work papers used in corporate income tax filings; generates and analyzes revenue and expense forecasts
  • Maintains complex records and large databases in Excel spreadsheets
  • Typically is responsible for recommending and implementing new Accounting processes and structures; and for determining the Accounting treatment of special transactions
  • May train and supervise Accounting staff members; reviews work of other staff for accuracy
  • Maintain fixed assets system
  • Responsible for customer invoicing
  • Review purchase orders and accounts payable invoices
  • Quarterly account analysis review
Required Skills

  • Four-year degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years' related accounting experience
  • Must know current accounting regulations and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Must have experience with financial reporting and forecast preparation and analysis. Experience with cost accounting desired
  • Must have the ability to do tax research by using tools such as CCH for requirements in new States, as well as, tax credits available
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, employees, and staff
  • Must be flexible, able to work in a fast-paced/high pressure environment, and be able to multi-task
  • Strong PC and MS Office skills. Advanced skills with MS Excel desired
  • Experience with Sage or equivalent Fixed Asset Software
  • Innovative, results-oriented, highly organized and detailed oriented
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred (i.e. IFS, JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, Great Plains, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with sales tax and payroll tax for various states desired.
  • Foreign entity reporting highly desired
