This position is responsible for completing the responsibilities for Customer Contract Amendments for multiple business units within McKesson Technology Solutions. This role handles the testing and analysis of VSOE (Vendor Specific Objective Evidence) for McKesson Provider Technologies, Revenue Management Solutions, and Physician Practice Solutions materials. This role also includes the technical requirement for the development of systems to drive process improvement and systems advancement.
Review and approval of Customer Contract Amendments during pre-signature negotiation stage
Consultant and advisor for proper structure of amendment to the Amendment Requestor, Business Unit, and Finance
Post-signature Amendment review and creation of credit template for Accounts Receivable
Creation of Financial Analysis template and review of Revenue Accounting’s summary of financial analysis
Create, Maintain, and Utilize SharePoint for routing of information needed from other areas for amendment processing.
Research and prepare Amendment Netting Summary information (when applicable) for downstream processing
Bi-weekly Amendment Reporting for distribution to Business Unit, Finance, and Executive Management
Maintain and enhance Microsoft Access database for reporting of signed and in process amendments
Import/export data from Excel to Access and from Access to Excel to streamline reporting process
Prepare, summarize, and maintain detailed testing files for VSOE analysis
Collaborate with all parties providing data for VSOE to determine efficiencies in consolidating and presenting the data
Participate in all appropriate user testing, training and support rollout of all new and enhanced systems in the current and upcoming years
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Prepare and provide quarterly amendment reporting to Business Unit, Finance, Executive Management, and External Auditors
Consolidate and summarize detail VSOE testing for use by Technical Accounting to support revenue recognition models.
Participate in process improvement initiatives (including, but not limited to Six Sigma initiated projects) related to department objectives
Continuously working to create process improvements and efficiencies for the technical accounting team
- Carries out special technical, accounting, financial or reporting projects of varying nature and complexity
5+ years accounting experience
Technical knowledge of SAP, Excel, Share Point, Access and Word are required to maintain the current systems and provide future enhancements.
Demonstrated ability to accurately model the financial aspects and outcomes of business issues using spreadsheets and/or other applicable tools
Proficient in US GAAP, internal policies, and other applicable accounting standards
Deferred revenue and unbilled revenue experience a plus
Big 4 experience preferred
Prior experience dealing with contracts & amendments helpful but not required
BS in Accounting required
MBA a plus
CPA or CPA Candidate
