To provide accounting support and backup to Controller in all aspects of the accounting function - including but not limited to - monthly close, general ledger, monthly financial statement preparation, account analysis, bank reconciliations, year end audit, tax return preparation and grant reporting. Maintenance of Asset Management System - including interface from AP, manual entries, profile assignment and interface to general ledger.
On going PeopleSoft Financials support - system transaction testing.
Word, PC based tax return preparation, Lotus Notes
Bachelor's degree with a major in Finance or Accounting,. Certified Public Accountant (preferred) with 7-10 years financial analysis or general accounting experience. Computer skills including Excel, Word, General Ledger (PeopleSoft experience a plus) . Strong written and verbal communications skills. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Experience with Tax Form 990 (Return of Organization Exempt From Income Tax) a plus.
