Summary Description
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for the development and monitoring of financial models supporting operational results, budget, forecast, and month end close using SAP ERP 6 Enterprise software. Partner with Sales, Logistic, Agriculture, and Operations personnel to assist with all financial and reporting improvements by utilization SAP ERP 6. Create and posts General Ledger entries and reconciles the accounts monthly. Create reporting out of SAP to analyze department costs and recommend changes to drive cost reductions. Identify requirements for the development and implementation of additional reporting solutions.

Perform in-depth monthly financial analysis on actual, forecast and plan results, as well as providing scenario analysis on operational initiatives.
Prepare and record accounting entries to a range of GL accounts and reconciles GL accounts to balance sheet, income statements, government reports, external statements, and statutory requirements.
Assist with analyzing existing SAP configuration and make recommendations for efficiency and accuracy improvements.
Implement process and reporting changes in SAP 6 FI/CO.
Assist in the development of business policies, and conduct special financial and business related studies.
Assist with examining the companys system of internal controls and with developing appropriate auditing standards.
Prepare special projects, reporting, capital requests analysis, and presentations as requested.
Work with manufacturing site managers and other senior managers to develop and implement business intelligence tools based on SAP FI/CO/MM/SD/PP. This includes analysis of production costs, spending, benchmark data, logistics costs and product profitability.
Participate in budgeting and forecasting on a monthly basis.

5 years experience in finance and accounting related functions in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years significant experience with SAP implementation of SAP FI/CO. Power User experienced preferred.
Experience in the SD, MM, and PP SAP modules.
Advanced in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to successfully perform the required and expected duties with minimal direct supervision.
Flexible work aptitude in order to manage changing priorities and the ability to produce results under tight deadlines.
Self-starter with problem solving skills and a willingness to take on new tasks as needed.

Education Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Finance & Accounting, or related field.
MBA preferred
FI/CO Power User Certification preferred
