Prepares, directs, guides and monitors the creation and maintenance of all ledgers, cash and bank registers, subsidiary accounting records, journals, log books, financial statements, health finance report, and various fiscal reports according to monthly close schedule.
Assists independent auditors with interim and year-end financial audits and ensures that company information is provided as needed.
Assists with preparation of tax returns, tax audits, and other corporate reporting requirements.
Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
Solves moderately complex problems and conducts moderately complex analyses.
Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues, translating concepts into practice.
Reviews accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and makes or directs correcting entries.
Serves as a subject matter experts for junior members of the accounting team.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field required. (4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelors degree).
Three or more years of accounting experience, including one year of experience as a staff accountant.
Knowledge of research techniques for analyzing data and presenting recommendations required.
Ability to perform mathematical computations, and compute ratios/percentages accurately and quickly required.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
Experience in a healthcare or related environment a plus, not required
