We are looking for a motivated, organized and energetic Sr. Ad Ops Manager to join our growing team of online ad operations in Newton, MA. This position will report directly to the Sr. Director of Global Advertising Operations. The successful candidate must be a smart, energetic, and organized ad operation professional. S/he must possess excellent problem solving skills, be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask in a fast paced and challenging work environment. S/he must have a working knowledge of both ad serving back-end and front-end systems, an in-depth understanding of the digital advertising marketplace, and be a team player with a positive attitude and upbeat spirit. The Sr. Ad Ops Manager is responsible for the delivery of the
      following critical tasks:
      • Build and manage a global team of Ad Ops Specialists that focus on ad ops support for TripAdvisor’s regional sales teams – APAC, EU and Americas

      • Develop and grow a non-trafficking function within the ad ops team to support and drive globalization and innovation

      • Build and maintain trusted relationships with the account management and support team of our main vendor – Doubleclick (DFP and DSM tools)

      • Manage a variety of tasks associated with maintaining a large product catalog and the back-end structure supporting it

      • Perform network administrator tasks for Doubleclick system, manage permissions for users, structure user groups properly based on the level of access they require; manage workflows and business rules in Doubleclick specific to the sales regions

      • Evaluate and address requests from the sales team including the creation of new products in DSM

      • Address client needs and provide best practices for using ad serving technologies (ex. tool capabilities/limitations, proper tracking, targeting, etc.)

      • Initiate and participate in brainstorming sessions with colleagues in Ad Solutions and Sales to better address client needs

      • Problem solve with innovative and creative approaches (out of the box solutions)

      • Work closely with US and international sales teams to understand their needs from the tools/process/products perspective

      • Create guides/instructions and make sure all processes and procedures are thoroughly documented

      • Contribute and provide authoritative representation of the Ad Ops team – Ad Ops projects that involve engineering and other departments

      • Build and maintain productive relationships with other managers, become a trusted adviser and knowledgeable ad ops resource

      • Create and develop solutions to streamline operations, improve consistency and increase team efficiency

      Job Requirements:
      • Must possess a BS/BA degree with a minimum of 8 years of digital advertising operation experience

      • Must have managerial experience in leading trafficking/operations/analytical teams

      • Extensive ad campaign management and trafficking experience

      • In-depth knowledge of ad serving technology – Dart strongly preferred

      • Strong understanding of overall online advertising environment and current market landscape and development

      • Proficient with Excel, being able to utilize all advanced excel features (V-lookup, pivot tables, macros)

      • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

      • Ability to exhibit business acumen and good judgment

      • Strong attention to detail, high level of personal effectiveness

      • Strong teamwork skills

      • Great interpersonal skills are required. The successful candidate will be communicating daily with TripAdvisor’s sales team, senior staff, and clients

      • Excellent written and oral communication skills

      • Ability to work under pressure and multitask to meet tight deadlines
