The Senior Analyst, Consumer Risk Management is responsible for maintaining a risk-based review and analysis schedule for all markets (geographic) ensuring that an ongoing evaluation of the markets and/or products lines is completed and that emerging risks are identified in a timely fashion. Measure/monitor losses and exposures, conduct root cause analysis and drive change where necessary.

Essential functions of the position:

Collaborate with Operations and Sales to define underwriting best practices and drive change through decision support technology and techniques. Support underwriting staffing forecast and monitor underwriting effectiveness based on portfolio segmentation, loss and sales forecasts.
Manage maintenance of reports on analysis of portfolio sub-populations, scorecard performances, including population shifts for retail and lease scorecards and characteristic population shifts
Support system design, coding and changes related to Blaze and EDW
In coordination with portfolio risk and decision science group, analyze and forecast HCA’s current and potential risks related to the loan portfolio, including trend, credit quality, concentration and delinquency analyses.
Provide analytical support on special projects or assignments as required

Secondary functions of the position:

Strong PC skills; Microsoft Access, SAS, SQL, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relational database concepts. Knowledge Studio and/or Visual Basic would be a plus
An in-depth understanding of statistics and its applications
Ability to comprehend instructions, create documentation on reporting and explain complex systems and data succinctly
Demonstrate strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex data analysis
Ability to understand business objectives and their relationship to the importance of individual projects

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science or related quantitative experience; Masters degree preferred
At least 3 years of work experience preferred
