Capitalizing on its domestic ecommerce success and worldwide brand recognition, Toys "R" Us is building a global ecommerce platform and operating organization that will help drive expansion of our online selling presence into international markets. As a key contributor within the team responsible for this effort, the Sr. Analyst, Global eCommerce Business Analysis will join the online globalization efforts for Toys "R" Us at its beginning stages. This role will play a critical part in maximizing the growth of the Toys"R"Us Global eCommerce business over the long term.

By interfacing with our existing ecommerce teams, the Sr. Analyst, Global eCommerce Business Analysis will lead the business analysis efforts in support of the planning and prioritization of Toys "R" Us worldwide ecommerce projects. This will include identification and documentation of project objectives and business requirements, as well as financial modeling, business case development and monitoring of project success.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform business requirements analysis of proposed global ecommerce projects
  • Gather, document and analyze business requirements for new global ecommerce features and functionality
  • Interface with key individuals representing business, operations and technology to drive business requirements definition to the appropriate level of detail
  • Accurately analyze critical details of business issues and opportunities to understand and define the key requirements necessary for proposed projects
  • Work closely with eBay (vendor) Business Management Team and other 3 rd party ecommerce vendors to communicate business requirements and ensure alignment with their development plans
  • Perform business case analysis
  • Contribute to the development of detailed business cases for projects included on the global ecommerce strategic roadmap
  • Interface with various team members (e.g., Strategy Analysts, Business Owners, IT, Vendors) to identify and document the full business value justification and costs of the project
  • Perform financial modeling of business case assumptions
  • Monitor project success criteria
  • Define criteria to measure project success based on business requirements and expected results
  • Monitor project success through post-implementation to ensure business case realization
  • Prepare appropriate documentation related to business requirements and business cases for all projects
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of requirements coupled with the ability to adapt communication to a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Develop strong relationships with local market teams and serve as trusted partner on business requirements definition
  • Manage business analyst(s)
  • Provide direction and conduct on-the-job training for team members to be successful in their roles

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required and MBA preferred (equivalent experience to be equally considered)
  • Must have at least 2 years experience in business analysis and requirements definition
  • Experience in developing business cases and financial models is a plus
  • Preferred previous experience working directly with or in a consultative role with an ecommerce and/or retail organization
  • Should be highly collaborative and comfortable working with various levels of management
  • Previous experience working in an international environment and/or with remote distributed teams a plus
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus
