US Consumer Services (USCS) is the team that identifies, creates and manages the products, benefits and services that cater to US consumers. This includes the American Express US proprietary charge and credit cards including cobrand cards we issue with our partners. To acquire new Cardmembers, USCS leverages data and risk models to identify and approve the most profitable target segments. USCS provides benefits and services that deepen a customer’s relationship with American Express and drive loyalty.While Performance Analytics resides in New Member Marketing, we are responsible for dashboards, tools and analytic consulting across all USCS marketing efforts, for all channels and products.

The successful Senior Analyst is responsible for partnering with IM and our analytic leads to develop analytical tools and a data infrastructure to enhance business results and decision making across all USCS marketing efforts, for all channels and products. Design and partner to implement tools and reporting, to improve:
  • Offer or marketing initiative targeting in all channels
  • Test design for marketing initiatives or capability launches
  • Feedback loop for optimization of initiatives
  • Definition of standardized end to end metrics and portfolio level tracking processes for all marketing channels Partner with an analytic team to deliver:
  • Intelligent information from potentially complex data including ensuring appropriate quality control
  • Appropriate data to feed analysis
Qualifications
  • Strong data skills, 1+ years required working knowledge of SQL and SAS
  • Capacity to quickly develop detailed knowledge of AmEx data infrastructure including the IDN, BIS, TM1 and other data sources
  • Experience delivering and maintaining dashboards, reporting or analytic tools utilized by a Marketing team
  • High quality written and oral communication skills with proven success interpreting business needs and driving results
  • Additional programming background and experience with Unix
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire, R, SAS suite)
