The Senior Applications Analyst I is responsible for day-to-day coordination and development of assigned administrative and financial information system applications. This position will participate and/or lead in the design, development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of new and legacy systems. It will be responsible for the design, development and management of the educational programs for the user departments. Through ongoing educational and informal relationships, it will stay current in administrative and financial practice and will incorporate this knowledge into future system planning and deployment. Bachelor's Degree is required.
Management Information Systems or Administrative/Financial Specialty is preferred.
Five (5) years of experience supporting administrative and financial applications as part of a large ERP system (Lawson, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.).
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, finance and business administration, and a working knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Human Resources and Materials Management.
Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Products, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
Advanced interpersonal skills (writing and communication) and strong analytical skills to affect changes in fiscal operations, to provide guidance, communicate and interpret complex financial information is required.
Experience with Lawson ERP software package is preferred.
Experience with enterprise reporting tools such as Cognos is highly desired.
